Play and relationship based discipline shape my teaching philosophy. A child's intuition is to play, so why not engineer play time for math investigation and literacy? Socially, there's no lesson more important than understanding the impact our choices has on the people in our lives.
Earned a license to teach in Virginia in 2014 and another license to teach in DC 2015. I did not transfer my license when I moved to California in 2017. Earned a BS in Mathematics at Washington & Lee University, with Minors in Early Education Curriculum Development & Creative Writing in 2014. Earned a MA in Childhood Development at Trinity Washington in 2015.
