A two-day, hands-on electrical class for kids 7–12, taught by professional electrician Michael Ulmer. Real tools, real circuits, learned by doing — built on his four principles:

    • Tools — screwdriver, wire strippers, voltage & plug testers

    • Materials — lamp cord, single-pole switch, dimmer, 3-way, outlet

    • Theory — how electricity moves through a wire & what makes one heat up

    • Safety — voltage standards, glasses & gloves, test before you trust it

    What we're building

Over two days, each kid builds their own switchboard — a plywood panel they wire into a working circuit and power with a battery. $240 per child for the weekend, materials and lunch included. Optional $50 take-home Klein tool kit so kids can keep doing electrical work at home.
